Black Rose Ryu

The Black Rose Ryu are patient, and their methods are ‘unusual’; their victims die with ecstatic smiles on their faces, for the courtesan-assassins of the Black Rose kill their target with the ‘knife’ of pleasure.

Poison is the preferred instrument of death for the Black Rose ninja, especially Rapture; a poison known only to this Ryu that kills its victims by overloading their pleasure centres.

Indoctrinated from an early age, the ninja of the Black Rose are trained in the arts of grace, seduction and subterfuge. Surgically enhanced to ideals of beauty, they are skilled at infiltration and deception, and while their martial training is less vigorous than many other Ryu, they are no less capable in their tasks.

Patience is a Black Rose’s greatest ally, as they may spend days, weeks, or even months gradually insinuating themselves into the target’s life and environment, setting themselves up in positions whereby they can meet their mark and seduce him. The seduction process itself may take as little as several minutes, or as long as necessary. Some unfortunate fools have even married the ‘love of their life’ after months of courtship, only to fall prey to their beloved in the ‘bridal’ suite.

Needless to say, the Black Rose ninja are recruited from both genders, the better to widen their field of targets, and even female samurai must be wary.

Rapture Strength: 6 ‘Kill’ Inflicts 6xd6 damage unless the victim makes a successful poison saving throw. The damage it inflicts is intensely pleasurable. Cost: 300 per dose. Availability: Black Rose Ryu only.
