Alice's Quarter Scale Hatbox Project

This is my hat box, from the 2003 Spokane Miniature Club's Workshop, held in Spokane, Washington.

We were given a choice of hat colors. There was blue and yellow, peach and sage, and lavender and yellow. I chose a lavender hat.

Interiors: Attic and bedroom

Bathroom and living/dining rooms

Most of the furniture started as plastic kits. I painted the bedroom furniture white, and added some flowers to the bathroom fixtures. The living room lamp was made from a bell cap, bead, wire, and an earring back. (Provided in the workshop kit.) I made my own fireplace, since I did not like the one provided in the kit. I also made the living room chair and couch.

I was not thrilled with the selection of scrapbook papers that were included in the kit. Jeri gave me the paper for the living room, and I used some green paper from a peach/sage kit for the bedroom wallpaper. I used my own lavender paper in the bathroom. There were also a lot of neat fabrics in the kit that I did not use.
