Mother's Day Tin

This is my Mother's Day Tin, from the 2001 Sagebrush Mini Society Workshop, held in Kennewick, Washington.

At the workshop, we were provided with the pretty tin, and all the materials to go in it. It is 1:48 ("Quarter") scale.

We learned how to make alcoves in the back walls of the rooms. We made the wallpaper in the bedroom portion of the room out of striped velum paper layered over a rose patterned scrapbooking paper. The bathroom floor is made of sparkly scrapbooking paper.

We attached decals to the bathroom fixtures. We made two kinds of rugs: a bunka rug for the bathroom, and a braided rug for the bedroom. I built and added my shelf to the bathroom so I could place folded towels, purfume bottles, and a tissue box to the scene.
